Webster Booth (tenor - 1902-1984) and Anne Ziegler (soprano - 1910-2003) were best known in Britain as duettists on the Variety circuit from 1940 to 1955. During that time they rose rapidly to fame and were frequently heard and seen on radio, records, television, film and stage. Besides this Variety Act, Webster Booth was one of the foremost tenors of his generation and continued to sing in numerous oratorios throughout his career on the Variety circuit. The Webster Booth-Anne Ziegler Yahoo group is for those who remember them from the days of their success in the UK and South Africa, and for others discovering them for the first time. In the group there is a discussion forum and access to rare recordings and photographs featuring them as duettists and soloists.

WEBSTER BOOTH by Ane Madisyn
I was amazed to see this book on auction on EBay this evening. The description states, "Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online." The description continues with part of my Wikipedia article! Webster Booth
While I understand that my Wikipedia article is an open source document, I hold copyright on everything I have written in my blogs, here and at http://jeancollen.wordpress.com This person has obviously copied all my copyrighted material to use in her book!
My only consolation is that she wants $55 for a 92 page book. My most expensive book, A Scattered Garland: Gleanings from the Lives of Webster Booth and Anne Ziegler, available at: LULU containing over 400 pages, sells for £14!
Another similar "book" entitled "Anne Ziegler" was on sale on EBay a few days ago. The "author" was different, but the price was equally exorbitant - about $65 dollars for an 86 page book.
